Final Project

Here's my final project. I haven't been able to post until now because of family events surrounding my grandmother's passing. Buuut know I had the chance to upload. Sorry it took so long!!

Sequence Project

These are all houses for sale. It's amazing that you can just drive along and find so many houses for sale. I never looked anything up to find anything for sale. These are all just discovered by driving along the road.

 Persona Project

So my project has evolved once again into something different. Now, I am dealing only with my uncomfort with my body and trying to find some way to become comfortable with it. I really wanted the focus to be on the body and its movement. I really thought about the presentation and how I wanted it to be set up so that your eye moved through the images.

Arrangement - It's going to look better actually on the wall, but this is just an example of how I want to set it up. There are three triptychs.

Messing with the Macro Lens

I don't really intend to use this for my persona project, I don't think. But it's something that would be interesting to come back to. The reason I don't want to use this towards the persona project is that they may be self portraits, but I want the persona project to be more about me on a personal level. I don't just want to take pictures of myself. I want to make it a series that speaks about me. So I might come back later to using the macro lens like this eventually, because I really like the effect it gives.

A Day in the Life

So I decided to do the photos between 12 and 12 hours, instead of straight 24. I decided to use my super wide angle lens that I just got because I wanted to see what it was capable of. Here's what I have so far, and I'll post tomorrow's 12 shots once I've taken them.

9 am, preparing for the day

I missed 10, because I left my camera battery in my room when I left for class...

11am, Kathy Bates and I are hanging out

12pm, lunch time

1pm, watching Biggest Loser and having goldfish...

2pm, heading out to check my mail

3pm, watching tv while my roommate snoozes

4pm, getting in the car

5pm, still in the car

6pm, getting back in the car

7 pm, in the grocery store

8 pm, back in the room

9 pm, showered

I shot all of these on Thursday: part two of my Day In the Life project. Still working with my super-wide-angle lens. I'm really enjoying testing it out.

9am: walking to class

10am: Sitting in class with everyone. A little out of focus, unfortunately

11am: Michelle. I want to edit out the head behind her, but I don't think we are supposed to edit much for this project.

12pm: Back in class

1pm: Back in the kitchen for lunch

2pm: Hanging out in the living room. Kinda too green

3pm: Heading back to class. Rather warm, but I kind of liked it that way

4pm: In History of Photo watching the film "Born Into Brothels"

5pm: Walking on campus

6pm: In Secondary Art Education together, taking photos. Haha.

7pm: Still in class.

8pm: Bad photo of me, but I thought I'd end it with a self portrait
