Shoot It

So I decided to do the photos between 12 and 12 hours, instead of straight 24. I decided to use my super wide angle lens that I just got because I wanted to see what it was capable of. Here's what I have so far, and I'll post tomorrow's 12 shots once I've taken them.

9 am, preparing for the day

I missed 10, because I left my camera battery in my room when I left for class...

11am, Kathy Bates and I are hanging out

12pm, lunch time

1pm, watching Biggest Loser and having goldfish...

2pm, heading out to check my mail

3pm, watching tv while my roommate snoozes

4pm, getting in the car

5pm, still in the car

6pm, getting back in the car

7 pm, in the grocery store

8 pm, back in the room

9 pm, showered

my favorite image from your set was the 5pm, still in the car shot. it is a nice use of the wide-lens. the tilt on the shot is nice too, i saw a ton of similar shots but no one else really shot at the strange angle that you did. i think it works nicely with the wide angle lens

  2. "1pm, watching biggest loser and having goldfish.." (Day in the life: Part 1) I found this photo the most interesting.. the wide-angle lens emphasizes the way the hand interrupts the frame. A simple shot but the juxtaposition and bold shapes of color make this photo different

  3. my favorite is definitely the grocery store picture. I love the geometry of the photo and the lighting. The lines of the ceiling against the isles of the store against the checkered ground is awesome.

  4. "Getting in the Car" is my favorite. I like how you framed the photo with either side of the car making the pie slice in the middle stand out. The wide angle lens and the white snow gives me the feeling that the ground goes on forever or that you are stepping out into the sky.

  5. "in the grocery store" is my favorite. I like how you used the fish eye lens. I really like how the lighting hits it and the way the fish eye lens makes the isle look so long and never ending

I agree with your choice for favorite photo. the orange tiles really led my eye through the whole photograph. I'm not so sure about the lens for this project, I feel like I was distracted by that many consecutive photos with a wide angle lens and paid more attention to the black around the edges of your photograph than your actual images.
